Fee waivers for Aug. 9 NMC info session

Individuals who participate in the Northern Marianas College’s free information session will qualify to receive fee waivers for the NMC admission application and placement tests for the upcoming Fall 2011 semester—a savings of about $75.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, in Room D-1 at the As Terlaje campus from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
Those interested in furthering their education and advancing their professional careers are encouraged to attend this event to meet and speak with faculty and staff from the college’s different degree and certificate programs.
Counseling, financial aid, admissions, and other NMC staff will also be on hand to answer questions and to assist in the admissions and financial aid process.
NMC offers several degree and certificate programs, including bachelor of science degrees in education (emphasis on elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), associate degrees in business, business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.
The information session is open to everyone, including high school students and graduates, and their parents, government and private sector employees, international students, and members of the general public who are interested in learning more about the programs at NMC.
