Man nabbed for allegedly slapping wife

A man was arrested last week in Dandan for allegedly slapping his wife whom he had accused of having an affair.

Donald Ayuyu Hocog, 43, was arrested for assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. His bail was set at $1,250 cash.

Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan stated in her report that two police officers had responded to the Refu Apartment in Dandan on Tuesday at 12:15pm after receiving two calls about a domestic violence incident.

Pangelinan said the victim told police that Hocog accused her of having an affair, triggering their argument. Hocog then allegedly slapped his wife on the left cheek, prompting her to call the police.

A witness told police that he heard the couple arguing outside their apartment. The witness then saw Hocog slap his wife in the face.
