Woman allegedly stabs man who figured in fight with her husband
A woman allegedly stabbed with a kitchen knife a man who figured in a fight with her husband at their home in Afetnas Wednesday afternoon.
Livian Kerry Borja was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery.
Police said the victim, John Ngeskebei, sustained three stab wounds and was taken to the Commonwealth Health Center.
Superior Court associate judge Perry B. Inos found probable cause yesterday to continue Borja’s detention. Bail was set at $6,250 cash. The preliminary hearing will be on Aug. 12 at 9am.
According to preliminary police investigation, Ngeskebei had gone to the Borja’s house and confronted the husband. Mr. Borja and his niece ended up fighting with Ngeskebei. Mrs. Borja then entered the house, took a kitchen knife, and allegedly repeatedly stabbed Ngeskebei.
Ngeskebei ran away, but Mrs. Borja chased him with a vehicle. When the victim tripped, Mrs. Borja allegedly tried but failed to hit him with a 2×4 lumber.
Police arrived and Mrs. Borja was later arrested. The victim was then taken to CHC.
