Winning a $50,000 hole-in-one prize would be a dream come true for any golfer. Thanks to AON, golfers at this year’s Tournament of Champions will have two opportunities. A hole-in-one on Hole No. 7 on the West course or Hole No. 11 on the East can bring $50,000 to the TOC golfer who hits the hole on the first shot.

“AON continues to be committed to supporting what TOC does in our community,” said AON Insurance regional director Rod Rankin. “It is important to us to continue to assist in making our island a beautiful place for our tourists to visit, and our residents to enjoy every day.”

Over the last 15 years, TOC has given over $500,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund, which has most recently been used to improve the tree-lined traffic medians in Chalan Piao, Dandan and Susupe. Funds were also used for the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, TOC also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, and the beautification of the Port to Park pathway. Proceeds from this year’s TOC will assist in the repair of the Mt. Topochau stairways, railings, and the leveling of the area.

“We are very pleased to have AON partner with us once again for the Tournament of Champions. We are able to make a difference because of companies like AON who continue to support our efforts,” said Ben Babauta, TOC tournament director.

Platinum sponsor Lao Lao Bay Golf and Resort will host the 16th Annual Tournament of Champions on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6 and 7. Show time is 6am and shotgun start is 7am. Registration fee is $175 for two days of golf and the banquet immediately following the tournament.
