KHS’ Jetley joins nat’l honors group
A student of Kagman High School has been recognized for her superior academic achievement by a national organization.
Patsylynn M. Jetley was officially accepted as a member of The National Society of High School Scholars. The 17-year-old is the daughter of Patria and Suresh Jetley and is an incoming senior at Kagman High School.
A first-timer to a national scholars’ organization, Jetley said she is both happy and proud of her selection. She looks forward to the benefits she could gain from the organization, including scholarship opportunities.
Her selection to the society, she added, validates the hard work and commitment she devoted to her studies in high school.
Jetley is also a member of her school’s National Honor Society.
The National Society of High School Scholars recognizes top students and invites only those individuals who have achieved academic excellence. Membership to the group entitles qualified scholars to a variety of benefits, including scholarships, academic competitions, free events, member-only resources, and many others.
Claes Nobel, founder and chairman of the society and a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes, said they are honored to recognize Jetley’s hard work, sacrifice, and commitment that she has demonstrated to achieve this level of academic excellence.
According to society president James Lewis, it is their vision to build a dynamic international organization that connects members with meaningful content, resources, and opportunities. “We aim to help students like Patsylynn build on their academic successes and enhance the skills and desires to have a positive impact on the global community,” said Lewis.
The society was formed in 2002 and recognizes academic excellence at the high school level. At present, there are more than 530,000 society members in over 160 countries.
