[B]Storytelling, traditional navigation in Chamorro and Carolinian this Saturda[/B]y

The Inetnon Amot yan Kutturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Faluw is offering storytelling and traditional navigation to all interested Chamorros and Carolinians on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Saipan Chamorro-Carolinian Village Cultural Centers Headquarters at 1213 Capitol Hill Road, across from the CNMI Workforce Investment Agency and next to the CNMI Board of Parole Office.

Storytelling starts at 9:30am. All activities end around noontime. Storytelling and traditional navigation will be mostly in Chamorro and Carolinian.

These activities are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office, and funded in part by the Administration for Native Americans. For more information, call 322-0278. (PR)

[B]Chacha Ocean View Jr. High School registration[/B]

For new and returning students of ChaCha Ocean View Jr. High School, registration for 7th and 8th students is as follows:

– 8th grade students, July 29, 8am-4pm at the main office

-7th grade students, Aug. 5, 8am-4pm at the main office

Requirements needed are birth certificate, health certificate, school transcript, guardianship (if applicable), map of residence, and copy of your insurance.

[B]Gregorio T. Camacho (GTC) Elementary School[/B]

Parents/guardians of GTC Elementary School, take note of the following events/dates:

-Kindergarten orientation: Aug. 23, 2011 at 5pm

-Testing for all new students: Aug. 22 – 26, 2011

-First day of school: Sept. 6, 2011

-Back to school Open House: Sept. 9, 2011, at 6pm

Enrollment has been ongoing. Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2011. Registration packets are available at the school office. Required documents include:

-Birth certificate

-School entrance health certificate (blue card from CHC Public Health)

-Map of resident

-Copy of progress report from last school attended

-Copy of health insurance

-Copy of guardianship/power of attorney (if applicable)
