Third win in a row for Korean Futsal Team
Korean Futsal Team won the battle of undefeated teams in the 2011 Saipan Soccer School Futsal League after shutting out IT&E in their men’s division game, 7-0, Wednesday night at the TSL Sports Complex.
The victory stretched Korean Futsal Team’s streak to three, while IT&E fell to a 2-1 mark.
Brothers Dae Min and Dae Won Jeon led Korean Futsal Team’s third win in as many games, knocking in three goals apiece. They scored twin goals each in the first half and Sang Ho Choi chipped in one for Korean Futsal Team’s 5-0 halftime lead. The Jeon siblings added one goal each in the second half to complete their demolition of IT&E.
[B]Wild Bill’s 10, Thundercats 3[/B]In the other men’s game, Wild Bill’s whipped the Thundercats, 10-3.
The win was also Wild Bill’s third in as many matches, giving the team a share of the lead in the eight-squad field. The Thundercats remained winless after three games.
Jiayuan Guao had a hat-trick for Wild Bill’s in the first half, while Jeeraphong Thoensaket, Nerongchari Khamtha, and Suriya Simuana also scored for the squad’s commanding 6-0 advantage.
In the second half, Adul Detdon and Thoensaket tallied two goals each.
Lin Zhi Peng gave the Thundercats two goals, while the other one came from Timothy Tawanpiy.
[B]WOMEN’SRed Team 10, Kulet’s Team 3[/B]
In the first women’s game of the night, Red Team nailed back-to-back wins after a 10-3 triumph over Kulet’s Team.
Zoe Jewell, who missed Red Team’s first two games, hit four goals in her debut for a follow-up victory on the squad’s 6-1 spanking of IT&E Blossom last Monday night.
Temary Gramlich and Leanne Lone contributed two goals each, making both of them in the second half, while Jean Bracker and Patty Coleman had one each also recording them in the final frame.
Amanda Allen put Kulet’s Team in the scoreboard in the first half, while Cleo Nening and Anne Padilla posted one goal apiece in the second half.
[B]Mellow Yellow 6, IT&E Blossom [/B]In the other women’s match, Mellow Yellow returned to the win column after beating IT&E Blossom, 6-0.
Katie Peters, who failed to score in Mellow Yellow’s 2-9 loss to Shirley’s A last Monday, regained her form and fired four goals, two apiece in the first and second halves. Also scoring for Mellow Yellow were Noi Horey and Merlie Tolentino.
Mellow Yellow improved to a 2-1 mark, while IT&E Blossom dropped to a dismal 0-3 slate.
Week 3 of the futsal league will start on Monday.
