Jacem Printing marks first win

Jacem Printing barged into the win column in the 2011 Blue Haus Invitational Basketball League after downing Marianas Water, 85-79, Monday night at the Gualo Rai Basketball Court.
Jacem Printing leaned on its youth players to gain its first win in three games. Brandon Aurelio fired six triples and scored 35 points, while Josh Kiyoshi and Lawrence Deleon Guerrero chipped in 16 and 10, respectively.
After taking a 21-14 advantage at the end of the opening quarter, Jacem pulled away in the second period, 42-26, with Aurelio making seven points and Kiyoshi adding four.
Jacem then withstood Marianas Water’s repeated comeback bids in the second half to break into the win column in Pool C and hand the latter its third loss in four games.
[B]I-Fashion 66, Bud Brothers 57[/B]In the Pool B match, I-Fashion also notched its first win in two games after beating Bud Brothers, 66-57.
Angelo Fernando top-scored for I-Fashion with 24, including nine in the payoff canto. I-Fashion won the closely fought contest from the foul line, hitting nine free throws in the final period.
R.J. Castro had 33 points for Bud Brothers (1-3) on the losing end.

GPPC 65, Mawati 59[/B]
In the lone game in Pool C last Sunday, GPPC slipped past Mawati, 65-59.
GPPC held Mawati to five points in the fourth quarter to improve to a 2-2 mark.
Randy Mungcal and Alex Ocampo teamed up in GPPC’s second victory, combining for 45 points. Ocampo had 10 markers in the fourth quarter, while Mungcal chipped in eight, as GPPC outgunned Mawati in the homestretch, 20-5.
