Pastor’s house burglarized
The house of a Saipan Community Church pastor in Susupe was burglarized over the weekend.
The burglar or burglars stole a black Toshiba laptop satellite L505-S5993, a bag, two wallets, an undetermined amount of cash, and other items.
The stolen items, all belonging to associate pastor Roger Abe and his family, were stolen from the master’s bedroom.
Abe’s wife, Teresita, told Saipan Tribune yesterday that a small boy was possibly used in the burglary as the point of entry was a small hole in the window.
Teresita Abe said the suspects managed to get inside the house by destroying the window’s grill and breaking the glass.
The Abe couple and their son left the house on Saturday at 8pm to attend Bible study in Koblerville. The family returned home at 12am because they had to join a birthday celebration.
Teresita Abe said they were surprised when they arrived as the lights were on in the rooms, including one room that they never use.
She said the burglars, who used the back door as exit point, left a tire wrench below the window.
She said they immediately called police. In their six-year stay on the island, this was the first time their house had been burglarized.
“It’s not safe anymore in this island. The police should do something about it because burglary cases are now rampant,” Teresita Abe said.
