The annual Tournament of Champions has a new hole-in one sponsor for the 2011 tournament—Delta Air Lines. This year, A lucky golfer who can put their first shot in Lao Lao Bay Golf and Resort hole No. 3 on the West course will win two Delta Air Lines BusinessElite tickets to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada that Delta Air Lines flies. The tickets include free access to more than 50 Delta SkyClub locations and over 150 partner lounges and other Delta Air Lines BusinessElite perks.

“Delta Air Lines has been a long-time supporter of TOC and wanted to increase our support this year by adding a hole-in-one prize that everyone would love to win,” said Christopher A. Concepcion, sales and marketing representative for Delta Air Lines. “We were so proud to be a bigger part of the event.”

Since its inception, TOC has given over $500,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund, which has most recently been used to improve the tree-lined traffic medians in Chalan Piao, Dandan and Susupe. Funds were also used for the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, TOC also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, and the beautification of the Port-to-Park pathway. Proceeds from this year’s TOC will assist in the repair of the Mt. Topochau stairways, railings, and the leveling of the area

Ben Babauta, tournament director of TOC said, “It was great that Delta Air Lines was able to support us with an exciting prize for our hole-in one prize package. I can’t wait to see if someone will win it this year.”

The 16th Annual Tournament of Champions will be played on Aug. 6 – 7 at the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort East and West Course. The cost of the two-day tournament is $175 and includes the banquet on Sunday immediately following the tournament.
