Make-A-Wish sets local phone number in Northern Marianas
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Guam chapter services the islands of Guam and the Northern Marianas. In an effort to increase accessibility for clients in the NMI, the Foundation recently partnered with Docomo Pacific’s Saipan office to establish a local number.
The new contact number for CNMI residents is 670-483-9474 (670-483-WISH). The main Guam office number remains 671-649-9474. The Foundation can be reached via email at info@guam.wish.org for general information, or referral@guam.wish.org for those interested in making a referral on behalf of a child. CNMI residents are also encouraged to follow the chapter on Facebook (www.facebook.com/makeawishguam).
“Without a physical office in the CNMI, we are happy to, at the very least, reach out to our local Saipan, Rota and Tinian clients through a local CNMI phone number making contacting our office that much easier,” said Make-A-Wish executive director Victor Camacho.
“Docomo Pacific has been very gracious in partnering with us in assessing our communication needs, filling the communication gaps and providing valuable sponsorship to allow us to continue our mission of granting wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses. Thanks especially to general manager James Nelson and account executive Kevin McCale for their generosity and assistance,” Camacho added.
The Foundation has granted wishes to over 200 children in Guam and the Northern Marianas since 1988.
“2011 will see even more magical wishes become reality, thanks in large part to the consistent support received from our volunteers, supporters, island community and business partners,” Camacho said.
