Three teams got off to strong starts in the 2011 Saipan Soccer School Futsal League after routing separates foes on Tuesday night at the TSL Sports Complex.

In the first men’s division game, Go Green blanked the Thundercats, 7-0, to join opening-day winners Wild Bill’s and Korean Futsal Team in the win column of the eight-team field.

Panapa Peteru lifted Go Green to a big win, as he scored four goals in their debut game. He put Go Green in the scoreboard in the first half and then had a hat-trick in the second half to complete the team’s demolition of the Thundercats.

Also scoring for Go Green were Ruselle Zapanta, Lee Epperson, and Fradel Sedillo.

In the women’s division, sister teams Shirley’s A and B whipped their separate opponents.

In the first women’s game, Shirley’s B crushed IT&E Blossom, 12-0.

Marie Javier had a hat-trick for Shirley’s B, making all her three goals in the first half for the team’s commanding 8-0 lead.

Nicole Arboliras, Marielle Gariguez, and Reylynn Sapong connected on two goals apiece, while Alexa Vergara, Jeralyn Castillo, and Ira Palero logged one each for Shirley’s B shutout win.

In the other women’s game, Shirley’s A was also unforgiving, clobbering Red Team, 15-1.

Jeraldine Castillo was all over the pitch and scored six goals, the most so far by any player after two days of competition. Melody Johnson was also unstoppable for Shirley’s A, as she canned four goals. Irish Pagarao made three, while Angie Ito tallied two.

Roxie Lamar posted the lone goal for Red Team, which played in its debut with a depleted lineup.

Four games were played in the second day of the inaugural league with the other men’s division match between IT&E Men and Mellow Yellow resulting to a 10-7 win for the former.

Mikky scored five goals for IT&E, which drew three goals from Seong Joon Lee and one each from Nathan Tan and Joshua Borja.

The game was tied at halftime, 3-all, before Lee found the back of the net three times in the second half and Mikky added two to lift IT&E to a win.

Young Sin Lim had a hat-trick in Mellow Yellow’s losing cause. Allen Mijares chipped in two, while Gabriel Arkoh and Jeb Nogis had one each.
