The Inetnon Amot yan Kutturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Faluw is offering story telling and traditional navigation to all interested Chamorros and Carolinians on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the Saipan Chamorro-Carolinian Village Cultural Centers Headquarters at 1213 Capitol Hill Rd., which is across from the CNMI Workforce Investment Agency and next to the CNMI Board of Parole Office.

Public hearing cancelled[/B]

The Senate Standing Committee on Resources Economic Development and Programs has postponed the following scheduled public hearing until further notice: July 20, 2011, 6pm at Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center, Susupe. [B][I](PR)[/I]

WSR registration schedule
[/B] The last week of William S. Reyes Elementary School’s open registration will be the week of July 18-22, 2011. We encourage parents and guardians of returning and new students to register their children. Registration form is available at the school’s main office between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Provide copies of updated health certificate, student insurance or Medicaid, and birth certificate. Dog licensing ongoing[/B]

The Office of the Mayor of Saipan’s “Dog Tag License Registration” is ongoing until July 22. Registration will take place at the Mayor of Saipan compound in Chalan Kanoa (behind the post office) from 9am to 4pm (open during lunch hours).

Pet owners are advised to first pay the fees at either the CNMI Treasury on Capital Hill, Superior Court in Susupe, or Tax and Revenue in Dandan then proceed to the registration site. Applications are available at the cashiers. Fill out the application per dog to expedite the process. [B][I](PR)
[/I] Veterans employment coordinator on Rota
[/B] Guam Department of Labor Disable Veterans Outreach Program coordinator Jackie Nguyen will be conducting an employment information workshop today, July 20, on Rota, 9am-4pm at the WIA Office. Nguyen will also be available to meet with veterans and family members individually to answer questions. For further information, contact Bernie B. Veterans outreach on July 25-29[/B]

Tina San Agustin, Federal Department of Veterans Affairs Legal Administrative Specialist from Guam and the Northern Marian Islands, will be on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota from July 25 to 29 for Veterans Outreach on Veterans Federal Benefits.

She will be also be entertaining veterans questions and assist with claims. Agustin’s schedule is a follows:

July 25, 8:30am-4:30pm on Rota at the WIA office

July 26-27, 8:30-4:30 on Tinian at the Tinian Municipal Council’s office

July 28-29, 8:30-4:30 on Saipan at the Military/ Veterans Affairs office on Capitol Hill, building 1364.

The open registration for seventh and eighth grade levels of Admiral Herbert G. Hopwood Jr. High School is ongoing until July 29. Parents and guardians of enrolling students should provide the school with all the necessary documents to avoid any problem in the processing of their child’s enrollment.
