The Masters Basketball Federation of the NMI hopes to kick off its 35A, 40A and 45A league this August, but is still determining a location to host its games.

The league used the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium last season, but according to the Division of Sports and Recreation acting director Jojo Attao, renovations at the facility will not be completed until the end of the year.

MBFNMI board chair Ray Lizama had already contacted league secretary Scott Norman to inquire about the availability of the newly opened Tan Siu Lin Sports Complex in Gualo Rai and he is still waiting for a response.

“If all goes well, we plan to kick off all three divisions this August at the TSL Sports Complex,” Lizama said.

Armatech and Top 45 ruled last season’s 40A and 45A divisions respectively, while the planned 35A season was postponed. Entrance fee for this year’s league is set at $550 per team (including uniforms/top only). Teams can pay the $350 entrance fee, but they will not get uniforms. Payments should be made to Masters Basketball of the NMI, P.O. Box 504614 – Saipan, MP 96950. Updates about the league’s start up will be released when received.
