We, the Class of 1957 that started as 1st graders in 1948 at the Saipan Intermediate School are getting together at the residence of Mr. Frank and Faye Cepeda in As Matuis for brunch starting at 11am on July 31, 2011. Each and every one of our classmates being is invited to celebrate each other and give appreciation for the great life the Lord has conferred on us and our families.

As each of us reach our 69th and 70th birthday, we want our community to join us in thanking the Lord for all the blessings bestowed on the people of the CNMI. We consider our particular Class to have made tremendous contribution in building our Commonwealth community, both individually and as a group. To name a few, one of our classmate chaired the Northern Marianas Political Status Commission, one of our classmate was instrumental in the establishment of the Northern Mariana College, two became Washington representatives, one became a Command Sergeant Major in Special Forces, several served in the Armed Forces, several served as elected officials in the Legislature, a good number were teachers for our children, several served our people by working for the government and as health educator, several became successful businessmen and women, musicians, the first woman from the CNMI to obtain a bachelor’s degree, the first lawyer from the CNMI, etc.

We feel that our particular Class has provided an important contribution and laid a good foundation for our community and we want to become stronger by sharing our stories and histories, so that we can become a more influential source of strength. We want to continue providing solid foundation and strong Christian principles to our youth who are now taking over the helm to lead the people of the CNMI to higher living condition and into a more promising future.
