Public Safety Commissioner Ramon C. Mafnas said yesterday that police officers continue to focus on the investigation aspect of the disappearance of sisters Faloma and Maleina Luhk.

Mafnas said searches will also continue in selected sites only. He did not elaborate.

“DPS encourages witnesses, or anyone, with information to come forward. Witnesses, or anyone with information can call 911 or 234-7272 to provide information,” Mafnas said.

Upon request, Mafnas said, DPS will protect witnesses or informants of their identity, if they choose to remain anonymous.

The disappearance of 10-year-old Faloma and 9-year-old Maleina marks its seventh week today, Wednesday. The girls were reportedly last seen near the bus stop pavilion in As Teo last May 25. A $50,000 cash reward has been put up for information on the whereabouts of the girls.
