Are you confident in your knowledge to act as a steward of investment funds? Do you have the necessary tools to meet the changing and ever rising demands of beneficiaries? Do you have what it takes to become one of the most in-demand and highly sought after investment advisers in the Pacific?

These, and more, are all the important questions that will be addressed at the 11th Pacific Region Investment Conference that features for the first time, “one of the 10 most wanted designations in the Investment Industry” according to U.S. Financial Planning Magazine—the Accredited Investment Fiduciary, or AIF, Designation.

The 11th Pacific Region Investment Conference is the biggest investment conference to be organized by the Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies in its history, with its recent partnership with Fi360 Accredited Investment Fiduciary Training Program. The conference will also feature Blaine Aikin, president and chief executive officer of Fi360 and principal and chief investment officer of Allegiance Financial Advisors, as keynote speaker.

Aikin is an accredited investment fiduciary analyst, certified financial planner, and chartered financial analyst. He is the primary architect of the AIFA program and a major contributor to the development of the Fiduciary Excellence concept, which is the heart of Fi360 programs and services.

“We understand the behavior of the market that has become more cautious and apprehensive, thus, we see the need to have more knowledgeable investment advisers and trustees. We have partnered with Fi360, which provides the AIF Training Program, to further promote and allow these fund managers and trustees to step up to new levels of standards,” said Daniel A. Roland, AIF, CIMA, executive director of APAFS.

The AIF Training Course is a 14.5-hour certification program that offers the AIF Designation to takers who will successfully pass a proctored exam and will take place two days prior to PRIC. AIF designees have a reputation in the industry for the ability to implement prudence into their investment processes because the training involves the mitigation of liabilities relevant to mismanagement of funds and inadequate knowledge of pertinent legislation and best practices.

APAFS now opens the registration for the PRIC and the Fi360 AIF Training Program, which will be held on Oct. 20-21, and Oct. 18-19, 2011, respectively. Both events will be held at the New World Makati City Hotel, the Philippines. Fees and more information about the AIF Training Program and the PRIC can be found at www.apafs.org.

With Fi360 on board, the 11th Pacific Region Investment Conference is expected to have more active participation from institutional investors, financial regulators and public officials across the Pacific.

With hundreds of members in countries across the globe, APAFS continues to promote education among fiduciaries and supports this role to meet a more demanding obligation in fund and wealth management through its premier PRIC, now on its 11th year. (APAFS)
