UNADDRESSED ISSUES

NMC is required to provide adequate evidence to demonstrate that it has addressed the 10 remaining recommendations earlier cited in the show-cause order. These include the following:

-RECOMMENDATION 1: The governing body should act autonomously to govern the college free from indirect interference by Commonwealth governor or members of Legislature; and will defend the college from the vagaries of changes in political power.

-RECOMMENDATION 2: College should ensure that commission policies are followed at all times and respond to commission requests truthfully and accurately.

-RECOMMENDATION 3: Integrate financial planning with institutional planning to ensure that fiscal resources are adequate to support programs.

-RECOMMENDATION 4: Ensuring that the financial management system has appropriate control mechanisms and widely disseminates dependable and timely information for sound financial decision-making.

-RECOMMENDATION 5: Full time and qualified chief executive officer

-RECOMMENDATION 6: Appropriate preparations and experience of the administrative staff and employees

-RECOMMENDATION 7: Evidence that planning is broad based on offers opportunities

-RECOMMENDATION 8: Ensure that faculty distinguished between personal conviction and professional views and that information is presented fairly and objectively.

-RECOMMENDATION 10: Trainings for Board of Regents members.
