The Bank of Guam recently joined forces with the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance for this year’s Green Gala event as a title sponsor.
Funds from the event will support MINA’s ongoing programs and their efforts at bringing public awareness of the need to conserve the islands’ most precious resource, the natural environment.
Speaking on behalf of the staff and management of Bank of Guam, Larry Philip, Garapan branch manager, said: “We would like to commend MINA for its continued efforts in their programs that focus on keeping our islands clean. MINA has become the face of conservation in the CNMI, and we’re proud to be a part of that.”
Somia Quan, vice chair of MINA’s board of directors, relayed their organization’s appreciation of this sponsorship: “The participation of the Bank of Guam is a reaffirmation that they, along with our other corporate sponsors, believe in our mission. This support makes the work that MINA does possible.”
This year’s Green Gala features the International Year of the Reef, and is being held at the Fiesta Resort & Spa on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. Call MINA at 233-7333 (REEF) for more information. (PR)
