Bank of Guam names 5 Ifit scholars

HAGATNA, Guam—Bank of Guam announced yesterday the names of its five Ifit scholars for 2019.
They are Mariette Barcinas of the Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior and Senior High School on Rota; Ji Hye Choi of the Guam Adventist Academy in Guam; Kyle Dahilig of the Okkodo High School in Guam; Rita Mae Keller of the Xavier High School in Chuuk in the Federated States of Micronesia; and Nicholas Untun of the Yap Catholic High School in Yap, also in FSM.
In addition to being awarded a $2,000 grant to an accredited college of their choice, each graduate was offered a paid internship with the Bank of Guam.
This is Bank of Guam’s eighth year of granting Ifit scholarships.
According to Joaquin P.L.G. Cook, Bank of Guam president and chief executive officer, “…We are happy to be a part of the journey of these outstanding students. As a direct beneficiary of the success of our island communities, a large part of Bank of Guam’s mission has been to provide opportunities for further educating future leaders of the region.
