The Guam Visitors Bureau announced yesterday that the Guam Territorial Band became an official member of the Håfa Adai Pledge program last July 24 at Micronesia Mall. The signing-ceremony preceded tits 2017 Guam Liberation concert series.

Established in 1976, the Guam Territorial Band provides musical service to the island and is a second home for members of early adolescence to senior citizens. The band has represented Guam on a number of tours to many countries and, most recently, performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The Håfa Adai Pledge program is a cornerstone of the GVB’s local community branding campaign. Since its inception in 2009, the Håfa Adai Pledge program has grown steadily both in numbers of participants as well as the content of individual pledges. To date, over 700 private businesses, government agencies, non-profits and other organizations have joined the Håfa Adai Pledge program. (PR)
