Larry A. Deleon Guerrero and Steve Balakrishna earned slots to the 2018 Saipan Golfers Association Ace of the Aces Tournament.

Balakrishna qualified in the club championship, as he ruled the September Ace of the Month event held at the Kingfisher Golf Links, winning the tiebreak against Frank Castro. The 11-handicapper shot a 40 and 39 on the front and back nines for a net 68. Castro, who holds a 14 handicap, posted 41s on both nines for a gross 82. The 12-handicapper Jung Eun Teack rounded out the Top 3 with his 69, built around a 40 and 41 on the first and last nine holes, respectively.

In other results for the September Ace, Joe Aldan won closest to the pin honors on hole No. 6, while Das Krishan prevailed on No. 8, Juan Pan Guerrero on No. 12, and Alex Tudela on No. 15. Rick Kautz and Nick Sablan made the longest drives on No. 7 and No. 14, respectively.

Meanwhile, Deleon Guerrero secured entry to the club championship despite his runner-up finish in the SGA August Ace of the Month event held at the Marianas Country Club. He finished second to Krishnan, who already qualified for the SGA Ace of Aces after topping the June tournament.

Krishnan won the August competition after firing a net 69. The 12-handicapper had a gross 81—the same gross score that eventual third placer Kautz registered. Kautz holds a 10 handicap to end up with a net 71.

Joining Krishnan, Deleon Guerrero, and Balakrishna on the qualifiers list were Joe H. Aldan (January), Joe I. Sablan (February), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (March), Alex Tudela (April), Kautz (May), and John “Nonni” Cruz (July).
