Bae is Fil-Taga February Ace winner

Hak Chon Bae qualified for the yearend Fil-Taga Golfers Association Ace of Aces Tournament after topping the February competition last Feb. 18 at the Kingfisher Golf Links in Talafofo.
The 16-handicapper shot a net score of 70 after shooting identical 43s in the front and back nine for a gross of 86.
Jhun Cayetano actually tied Bae with his net 70, but lost via scorecard tiebreaker. He came away with a gross of 95 (47-48), but wound up as the co-leader due to his 25 handicap.
Rounding out the Top 3 was Adony Matutino who shot a net 76 following a 50-42 in the first nine and last nine holes to wound up with a gross of 92.
The 16-handicapper actually tied with Mike Cruz, but edged him via another scorecard tiebreaker. Cruz came away with his net 76 following a 47-48 performance in the front and back nines for a gross of 95.
A total of 13 Fil-Taga members took part in the February tournament and they are the following with their net scores in parenthesis: Bert Suda (77); Tom Palikkun (78); Henry Bautista (79); Freddie Cataluna (79); Roland Merar (79); Ruben Avendano (82); Ed Varias (89); and Chris Imbo (100).
Par 3 winners were Avendano, Cabrera, and Merar who each pocketed $16.50 for their feats.
