Back-to-back wins for Paire

Paire Football Club made it two in a row in the co-ed U12 division of the NMIFA Summer Youth League 2021 after nosing out TanHoldings Football Club, 2-1, last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

Rodney Junior Tomei made both goals for Paire, scoring his first in the 10th minute and the second in the 23rd. Kay Anne Costales posted the lone goal for TanHoldings when she hit her target three minutes after Towei lit up the board anew.

Tomei also had twin goals in Paire’s 4-1 victory over MP United FC in the opening of the league last June 26. Justidy Mizutani delivered the two other goals in Paire’s first win, while MP United’s only goal was courtesy of Moshe Sikkel.

MP United 6, Matansa 2
MP United recovered quickly from its opening week loss after topping Matansa.

Sikkel and Taiga Namai-Scoggins teamed up in lifting MP United past Matansa after firing three goals apiece. Sikkel scored in streaks with his goals posted in the 11th, 16th, and 20th minute. Namai-Scoggins started thing out for MP United after scoring in the fourth minute and wrapped up the match with back-to-back goals (35th and 60th minute)

Anton Megino tallied the two goals for Matansa, which has yet to make it to the win column as it settled for a draw against Shirley’s FC during the opening week of the league. Megino had one goal against Shirley’s, while Yutaka Kadokura scored the other one. Shirley’s pair came from Bennet Haro.

Bennet Haro also logged two goals in their victory over Kanoa, while Gauis Ranada, Jackielyn Calage, and Frank Lumanlang chipped in one apiece.

Jayson Tagabuel made the only goal for Kanoa, which absorbed its second loss in as many games, as it also dropped its opener to TanHoldings, 0-11.
