May is Tourism Month. What do you feel is the most attractive feature of the Northern Marianas?
—Joaquin M. Camacho For me, it’s hospitality. The way we greet the tourists, the way we treat them. If there’s a special occasion, we call the tourists to show how we live and our traditions.
—Allen Mijares The simplicity of life we have here…not too much pressure, not being too influenced by the Western world. The community still maintains its culture.
—George Fitial The beach and our culture. Our beaches are beautiful. As for our culture, we’re losing it, but some people are keeping it alive; it’s good for visitors to be able to learn about it.
