Convicted wife beater faces stealing, forgery charges
A convicted wife-beater is facing new charges, this time for allegedly stealing and forging a child tax refund check.
The Attorney General’s Office charged 41-year-old Teksiter Sachuo with forgery and theft.
Chief Prosecutor Kevin Lynch stated in the charging information that on Nov. 25, 2008 Sachuo stole a child tax refund check amounting to $486.
That same day, Sachuo forged a check that was issued to Hespinan Sachuo and Irene Romono, Lynch said.
No other details were given in the charging information.
In January 2006, Sachuo pleaded guilty to punching his wife in the mouth. The Superior Court sentenced him to three days in jail with credit for the time he has already served in prison. He was placed on one year probation.
In January 2007, Sachuo was arrested again for allegedly punching his wife in the back during an argument at their house in Upper Miha in Garapan.
The argument began when their son asked for some school supplies. The defendant allegedly got mad when his wife confronted him twice for refusing to buy the school supplies.
