Mode Tour to host golf tourney
Mode Tour will be hosting a golf tournament this coming Saturday, May 30, at the west course of Laolao Bay Golf Resort.
Dubbed the Inaugural Friendly Golf Tournament, the competition will start at 8am following a 7:30am registration.
Cost to enter is $60, which will include green fee and awards banquet at the Pacific Islands Club Saipan. The tournament will adopt a peoria format and will have a shotgun start.
First place will receive a Saipan-Guam roundtrip ticket for two courtesy of Freedom Air, while the runner-up wins a two-night stay with breakfast at the PIC Saipan. Third place is a Saipan-Rota roundtrip ticket for two.
Three hole-in-one challenges are also in store for the island’s golf enthusiasts. A successful try in hole No. 3 nets a $500 gift certificate from DFS Galleria Saipan. The winner in hole No. 17 gets a $500 dinner coupon at Monte Vista Restaurant, while a hole-in-one in No. 7 gets the lucky participant a two-night stay at Rota Resort, which includes a trip around the island’s scenic spots.
Prizes are also in store for the closest to the pin and longest drives. A bevy of in-kind gifts also await participants in the raffle during the award banquet.
All participants of the one-day golf event, which Mode Tour is hosting to thank the local community’s support, will also take home souvenir Nike golf balls, T-shirts, and ball markers.
Aside from Mode Tour and PIC Saipan, the Inaugural Friendly Golf Tournament is also made possible with support from the Marianas Visitors Authority and Asian Airlines.
