DFS and Take Care/FHP are named MMAC title sponsors
Duty Free Shoppers and Take Care/FHP will become title sponsors for this weekend’s 2009 Marianas March Against Cancer.
According to the 2009 MMAC Committee, DFS has donated $3,000 for the cause, qualifying it to be declared a title sponsor for the single largest fundraising event in the CNMI. DFS has traditionally been a title sponsor for the MMAC.
Take Care/FHP, on the other hand, will sponsor the traditional dinner held in honor of cancer survivors and cancer patients in the CNMI at the 2009 MMAC. They will also provide the medallions and lanyards given out to cancer survivors and cancer patients during the opening ceremonies, acknowledging all who have been personally affected by cancer in the CNMI.
In addition, Take Care/FHP will be participating as a team in the 2009 MMAC.
“The 2009 MMAC Committee would like to congratulate DFS and Take Care/FHP for their generous contribution in the fight against cancer. All funds raised for the 2009 MMAC will be spent locally on cancer related programs and special services for cancer patients,” the MMAC Committee said in a statement.
The 2009 Marianas March Against Cancer will be held this Friday and Saturday, May 22-23, 2009, from 6pm to 6am, at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao.
Everyone is invited to attend this memorable event that honors those who have been personally affected by cancer in the CNMI.
All cancer survivors and those currently undergoing cancer treatment are also invited to attend the traditional dinner held in their honor at the 2009 MMAC. E-mail Nora Sablan at norasablan@gmail.com or call 235-0994 to confirm one’s attendance. (PR)
