Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona has imposed a one-day prison term on a man who was arrested in 2006 with another man for allegedly burglarizing a house.

Manglona sentenced Argenon Agulto Flores to one year in prison, all suspended except for one day, for criminal mischief.

Following a plea agreement, Manglona gave Flores credit for the one day he had already served in jail. This means the defendant will be released by the Department of Corrections.

Flores was placed on two years’ probation and required to enroll in the U.S. Forest Service firefighting “reservist” program within six months of entry of his guilty plea.

The judge ordered the defendant to pay a total of $8,199.05 to house owner Mark Sasaki and five other burglary victims.

Manglona ordered Flores to pay a $25 court assessment fee plus $100 probation fee. He was directed to write a letter of apology to the victims.

Flores and Daniel Aldan Quitugua were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and theft, burglary, theft, and criminal mischief, for breaking into the house of Sasaki between July 7 and 8, 2006.
