March vs cancer organizers ready

Whether it is a family member, friend or neighbor, we all know someone who has been touched by cancer. The Marianas March Against Cancer is one way of recognizing loved ones who are fighting the disease and remembering those who have lost the battle.
At 7pm on May 22, 2009, at the Marianas March Against Cancer event, luminary candles will be lit to honor those who have battled cancer at some point in their lives. The candles will illuminate the field for the entire 12-hour duration of the event.
If you would like to make a $5 donation for a luminary at the 2009 Marianas March Against Cancer, e-mail Kimberly A. Concepcion at kimconcepcion@yahoo.com. You may also contact the numerous teams that are participating in the event. If paying by check, make checks payable to Marianas March Against Cancer. Luminary forms are also available online at www.ccamarianas.org.
The Marianas March Against Cancer is the largest fundraising event in the CNMI that supports cancer education and provides important services to cancer patients.
The event is sponsored by the Commonwealth Cancer Association, a volunteer-driven organization that ensures that all funds raised are applied locally.
The 2009 MMAC will be held on May 22-23, 2009, from 6pm to 6am at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao.[B][I] (PR)[/I][/B]
