To make them more physically active and mentally alert, the man’amko yesterday got their latest sport equipment, an electronic dart board complete with accessories from Pacific Amusement Inc. for an upcoming mini tournament.

The company had already donated in the past a pool table, pool sticks and other billiard accessories to the center.

PAI operations manager James Gebhard personally delivered the equipment during a simple ceremony yesterday afternoon at the Office on Aging.

The man’amko, along with acting director Rose Mondala, special adviser Juan San Nicolas and Aging Center coordinator Walter Manglona issued a certificate of appreciation to Gebhard for his countless contribution to the center.

In a statement, the Office on Aging said that Gebhard has devoted a lot of his time to maintain the pool table.

Gebhard has also committed to donate another pool table next week.

“Acting director Rose Mondala was very appreciative and excited when she heard the great news,” said Manglona.

He said the man’amko will be forming several teams to compete in the billiards and darts tournament before the end of May in connection with the celebration of Older Americans Month.

Gebahrd will be sponsoring the trophies for the winning teams.

Manglona said they are also anticipating other games in the coming days and that Gebhard has expressed full support for these activities.

The man’amko had just finished their Ground Golf Tournament with senior citizens from Rota and Tinian.

The man’amko are preparing for next week’s Conference on Aging on May 22 and the King and Queen Coronation ball on May 29.
