Refaluwasch Golf Association is encouraging its members to participate in the 7th Annual Mount Carmel School Golf Tournament, as the event set for May 9 on the west course of the Laolao Bay Golf Resort will also double as a RGA May qualifier.

“We are urging RGA members to join this worthy endeavor, as this is one way of helping our community,” RGA tournament director Jess Wabol said.

Wabol said RGA members who will be playing in the MCS golf tournament will only pay an extra $20 (for RGA May qualifier fee), instead of the usual qualifier fee of $30.

Registration for the MCS fundraiser is set for 6:30am and tee time an hour later at 7:30am. The competition was originally scheduled last March 14, but was moved to this Saturday due to scheduling problems.

Trophies and other gift prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 winners in the Championship, A Flight, B Flight, C Flight, Seniors Flight, and Ladies Flight.

An awards banquet will be held immediately following the tournament at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort grounds.

Although the tournament has no entry fee, participants are requested to donate $100 to help support the only Catholic school on Saipan. The donation will cover greens and cart fees, as well as prizes and the awards banquet.
