[B]Military ID card personnel visit[/B]

This is to let all military identification cardholders and all concerned that the 9th Mission Support Command ID Card personnel will be on Saipan to issue new or renewal of Military ID card. They will be at the Army Reserve Center on Saipan on May 18-22, 2009. Their hours are from 8am-6pm.

The 2009 Mariana Islands Nature Alliance general membership meeting will be held tomorrow, May 7, 2009, from 5pm to 8pm, at the 13 Fishermen’s Pavilion on Beach Road in Garapan. We would like to invite all of our members as well as the public to join us, and learn about the opportunities and challenges facing MINA in 2009, as well as our accomplishments in 2008. To all parents/legal guardians of Saipan Southern High School students: Mid-progress reports are scheduled to be picked up on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, from 4:40pm to 7pm. Kagman Komunidat Association is inviting the public to its second townhall meeting. Voters can get to know the Republican candidates who will face off in the Republican primary in June. Juan Babauta and Galvin Deleon Guerrero’s townhall meeting will be on Thursday, May 7, at the Kagman Community Center at 7pm.

The purpose of the townhall meetings is for voters to stay informed and gather information from the candidates by asking the candidates questions and listening to the candidates’ platforms on the economy, Article 12, tourism, military buildup, crime, gambling, etc. Come and get to know the candidates before voting. May 25, 2009 is Memorial Day, during which the CNMI will be paying tribute to members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have passed on. This is to let all Memorial Day Committee members and all interested in being a part of the committee, that we will begin to meet every Tuesday at 9am starting on April 14, 2009, at the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs on Capitol Hill building 1364. Puengin Inetnon will resume this Friday, May 8, at 4:30pm-10pm at the Kagman Community Center Parking Lot. Puengin Inetnon is Kagman’s Friday Night Market for food, drinks, snacks, clothing, arts and crafts. It will be held every government payday Friday. The Kagman Komunidat Association is looking for vendors to sell produce and fish due to popular demand by customers. Other vendors are also invited. The Kagman Saturday Flea Market will resume this Saturday, May 9, at 8am at the Kagman Community Center Parking Lot. It will be held every government payday Saturday. Individuals can sell their used items for only $5 and will be provided with a tent and table. Come and sell your used item at the fastest growing village in the Marianas. The Northern Marianas College will be conducting English and Math placement tests on the following dates:

Those who wish to take the test must bring a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport or school ID) and pencils. No admittance to the testing room will be allowed after the starting time.

There is a $25 fee each for the English and Math Placement Tests that must be paid in advance at the NMC Cashier (Moday-Friday, 9am – 4pm). No one will be allowed into the testing room without proof of payment (a receipt for either the placement test fee or the NMC application fee). Payment for the application fee will cover the English placement test fee.
