The Century A’s Davin Ada had a no-hitter in five innings, leading the Athletics to a 4-0 win over JPO Enforcers in the Major division of the 2009 Saipan Little League Baseball Saturday at the Miguel “Tan Ge” Basa Pangelinan Ballfield.

Ada tallied eight strikeouts before Max Castro relieved him at the top of the sixth inning.

Castro completed the shutout win with one strikeout and a walk.

Ada performed well at bat, too, hitting 2-for-2, including a two-run triple at the bottom of the first inning. He had another RBI after making a single at the bottom of the fifth that drove home Jaime Sasamoto.

The A’s now have a 4-7 slate for solo sixth place in the 14-team field, while JPO Enforcers dropped to a 2-9 record.
Jets 13, Twins 0

Jose Lizama Jr. made 16 strikeouts, lifting the Jets to a 13-0 shutout win over the As Matuis Twins.

The Jets pitcher allowed only two hits and walked three in a no-relief job to improve his team’s record to 9-2. Pending Sunday games’ results, the Jets are tied with the Hustlers in second place. Ol’Aces lead the Majors with a squeaky clean 10-0 slate.

With Lizama doing the damage for the Jets at the mound, the best that the Twins could do was reach third base at the bottom of the sixth inning.

With runners on second and third base and with two outs, Lizama struck out Alex Litulimar foiling the Twins’ bid to make it to the scoreboard and ending the lopsided game.

The Twins absorbed their ninth loss in 11 games.
Dragons 5, Shell 2

In the first game, starting pitcher Nathan Camacho had nine strikeouts, allowed six hits, and walked three in 3.2 innings pitched in the Dragons’ 5-2 triumph over Shell.

The Dragons defense allowed Shell to score only at the top of the third inning.

Perry Celis scored Shell’s first run on a hit by pitch, while P.J. Sablan reached home plate on a Logan Martin single.

The Dragons had two runs in the first and took the lead with a three-run bottom of the fifth.

The Dragons improved to an 8-3 record for solo fourth place in the team standings, while Shell absorbed its ninth defeat against two wins.
