Police arrested over the weekend three of the four persons who allegedly burglarized and stole items several from two warehouses of the defunct MGM Garment Manufacturing in Chalan Piao.

Sharp Ngirutoi, Franco Edboy, and Donny Swei were served with an arrest warrant for burglary and theft. The fourth defendant, Jake Ito, was not arrested yet.

Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona on Tuesday imposed a $25,000 cash bail each for the temporary release of the defendants.

Detective Christopher Leon Guerrero said a surveillance camera at Triple Star Recycling Center led to the identification of the four suspects.

Investigation showed that last April 5 the suspects broke into the warehouses of the MGM factory and stole an air compressor, three exhaust fans and other metal items.

The suspects loaded the items into a pickup truck and sold them, except the air compressor, to Triple Star Recycling Center.

With the help of a “cooperating defendant” police traced the air compressor to a residence in Koblerville.

A certain Kevin of MGM told police that $30,000 worth of equipment were taken from the warehouses.
