Dolores Yamagishi carded the lowest net scores on both days to win the Annual CNMI Women’s Golf Association Two-day Tournament held last April 11 and 12 at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.

Yamagishi, a 22-handicapper, ran away with the title with her two-day net total of 3-under par 141.

She shot a net 1-under 71 on Day 1 of the tourney at the east course of the Kagman golf venue.

Yamagishi then slightly improved on the second day with a net 2-under par 70 at the west course. She was the lone player with an under par net score throughout the weekend golf-fest.

Coming in at second place was Masayo Miyamoto with a net total of 4-over par 148 (75-73), while Yi Su Jeong was third with a 5-over par 149 (73-76).

Fourth-ranked Aya Marsumoto came in front of fifth placer Kyung Seo Ran via the tiebreak system. Both finished with an 8-over par 152.

In the gross score category, the mother-and-daughter tandem of Yuko and Noriko Togawa carded similar gross scores of 164, but the elder Togawa came first due to her 1 handicap. Yuko has a 5 handicap.

Three players were tied with a gross of 174, but Shiori Onoue finished third with her 6 handicap, Lorraine Babauta was fourth with her 11 handicap, while 13 handicap Chin Lin Wang settled for fifth place.

Yamagishi may have won the annual two-day CWGA tourney, but the plum for the club’s point system competition went to Yuko Togawa.

Based on the accumulated points over a 12-month period, Togawa piled up 105 points for the victory. Noriko finished second with 103 points.

Shiori Onoue with 89 points came in third, followed by Lourdes Kim (81), Bennet Seman (81), Terue Ukita (72), Chang Lin Wang (69), Eun Ae Chang (67), Yamagishi (65), and Sachiko Adachi (63).
