JVA loopholes

I want to complain about the way the job vacancy announcement procedures are set up. I have applied for about 30 jobs on the marianaslabor website. About 15 businesses have called me in for interviews. All of those positions were already filled.

Why is the CNMI government making businesses advertise jobs when they know they aren’t hiring. What is going on? It’s gotten to the point where I’d ask the interviewer if the position is for a renewal or a transfer. I am sick and tired of wasting time, gas and money to fill out applications, get police clearance and drive to a useless interview.

Also some businesses are closing the announcement before the closing date. I had one company tell me that they already hired a non-U.S. citizen in a position while I was not even interviewed. I am from Precinct 5. These nonsense laws are not helping the CNMI’s own people. Hopefully, this November, the people will vote to fix these problems.
