New law distributed $42,000 to Tinian

Gov. Benigno Fitial has signed into law a second senatorial district bill that appropriates $42,000 collected from pachinko slot machine and poker machine license fees.

Tinian Local Law 16-7 distributes $12,000 to monthly subsistence allowance for dialysis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, post cervical, and vascular accident patients from Tinian.

The other $30,000 will go for operating of the Tinian Legislative delegation under the Senate leadership.

The Finance Secretary will prepare and disburse the funds going to the health patients, while the Senate president along with the concurrence of the members of the Tinian Legislative delegation will have expenditure authority for the $30,000.
