Centerfielder Jonathan Cabrera hit two solo homeruns as the Dragons repulsed JPO Enforcers, 13-9, on Saturday in the Major Division of the 2009 Saipan Little League Baseball Association at the Miguel “Tan Ge” Pangelinan Ballfield.

The Dragons broke away from a 3-3 tie after two full innings with seven runs in the top of third, including Cabrera’s first homer of the game.

The Enforcer’s own centerfielder retaliated with an inside-the-park homerun in the bottom of the third, while Justin Reyes advanced to first on a base on ball on the way to their fifth run via passed balls.

The Dragons made two more runs in the fourth from Jonathan Villagomez and Franco Bodoc and Cabrera homered anew in the fifth for a commanding 13-5 lead and never looked back.

The Enforcers did manage four runs in the bottom sixth before losing the game on groundouts.

Hustlers 11, Falcons 0

UMDA Hustlers roared to another overwhelming win against the Falcons, 11-0, their fourth in as many games.

Four Hustlers scored two runs—Dean Santos in the first and fourth, Bonnie Babauta in the third and fourth, Ray Saralu in the first and sixth, and K.J. Deleon Guerrero in the fourth and fifth.

Peyton Lizama and Miko Gabionza also reached home plate in the fourth and fifth, respectively.

Athletics 12, Survivors 6

Century Athletics blasted the Survivors with seven runs in the bottom of the second inning en route to a 12-6.

Justin Ligua, Davin Ada, Fermin Borja, and Gregory Muna reached home plate twice, while Beltran Muna, Max Castro, Primo Sasamoto, and Joaquin Villagomez added one run each for the A’s second win in four starts.

Jerry Kintol and Brel Yobech led the Survivors with two runs each both in the fourth and sixth, while Truman Shiro and Caleb Takao had one each in the loss, their third after four games.

Braves 10, IT&E, 0

Tanapag Braves kept their momentum going as they blanked IT&E, 11-0, via the 10-run mercy rule last Saturday.

The Braves needed four full innings to post their second straight win after dropping their first two games to the Red Sox, 1-9, and Ol’Aces, 0-5.

O.J. Lifoifoi displayed his brilliance on the mound by not allowing any batter to reach first base. He struck out nine of the 12 IT&E players at bat.

On offense, the Braves scored five in the bottom of the second inning from Bradley Lieto, Ian Rogolofoi, Roy Tudela, Lifoifoi, Hubert San Nicolas, and Aaron Irog.

The Braves added four more runs in the third from Kent Kalen Jr., Lieto, Tudela, and Lifoifoi.

Second baseman Jay Kalen capped the win with a run in the fourth.
