Guam Industry Forum III registration opens
This is the third in a series of industry forums related to the design, construction and logistics support requirements for the realignment of Command, Air, Ground and Logistics units of the III Marine Expeditionary Force from Okinawa, Japan, to Guam.
Guam Industry Forum III is focused on general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and designers for the Guam realignment. The Forum also focuses on suppliers and service providers from materials to medical care. The Forum will be held on April 28, 29, and 30 at multiple venues.
The first two days will be held at the Sheraton, Hilton, and Marriott hotels. As during the second Guam Industry Forum, attendees will have an opportunity to register for one-on-one sessions with program officials, to be held at the Hyatt hotel on the third day of the event.
Updates on the process and progress of the Guam buildup effort will be presented by a variety of subject matter experts in the areas of acquisition, infrastructure, workforce housing and logistics, small business opportunities, sustainability, and a host of other relevant subjects. Additionally, planning for information technology solutions will be a featured topic during this year’s forum.
Invited guest speakers include BJ Penn, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Installations and Environment; Gov. Felix P. Camacho; and Guam Delegate Madeline Z. Bordallo.
“The Guam Industry Forum remains an important venue for industry to learn of opportunities to support the Marine Corps relocation,” said Maj Gen David F. Bice (Ret.), executive director of the Joint Guam Program Office. “We look forward to a productive dialogue with the local, U.S. and international business communities about the program’s progress and best practices that will make this realignment a success.”
Over 1,300 participants attended the previous Guam Industry Forum. Registration for this event is required, and registering early is recommended, as seating is limited and a large audience is expected. For more information and to register, visit www.guamindustryforum.com.
