POI Aviation and Pacific Islands Club scratched out victories against separate opponents in the Budweiser Inter-Government/Business Slow-pith Softball League Thursday night at the Capital Hill Ballpark.
Centerfielder William Sablan and shortstop Kyle Kaipat led POI to a 15-10 triumph over P&S.
With the win, POI improved its win-loss record to 8-7 but remained in ninth place in the 20-team field league.
Sablan went 4-for-4 with three runs in the bottom of the third, fourth, and sixth innings. He tripled in the fourth.
Kaipat was also perfect at bat with his 3-for-3 performance, including a two-run homerun in the first. He also doubled in the fourth on the way to another run. He had a total of four runs batted in.
Third baseman Mabel Ngirngemelas also went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
P&S failed to capitalize on a 7-3 lead in the top of the third inning as POI quickly recovered with six runs in the bottom of the third. They tucked in three more in the fourth en route to the win after six and a half innings.
After the loss, P&S is now tied with CRM/DEQ from 10th to 11th places.

DLNR stayed in 12th place with a 6-10 mark.
Pitcher Rueben Ogriil capped a six-run explosion in the top of the sixth with a two-run homerun. He also made another run in the fifth and finished with two RBIs at a 2-for-4 stint on the plate.

Left fielder Asap Ogumoro gave PSS a 1-0 lead on a single by John Terlaje but PIC took the driver seat with two runs in the bottom of second from outfielders Ben Tenorio and Fred Robert on a two RBI double by Joe Sablan.
Ogumoro scored another run on a double by Sim Iramk in the fourth, while Nizer Masayos reached home plate in the top of fifth as PSS took back the lead 3-2.
