In reply to John DelRosario: I read your letter to the editor with surprise and dismay. First and foremost, the good brothers in the Muslim countries did not organize recently against the West. Get a copy of their Bible, the Koran, and you will find that Muslims were told in the mid-1500s to go out and kill infidels. Also, America has been in the business of helping countries all over the world set up their own democracy so their people can elect their own leaders to govern them, not forcing them into submission!
“Kaboom diplomacy” has never been used to force any country into submission! You should be very thankful for “kaboom,” John, because you have some militant Muslims with a compound in the heart of Saipan! Take a little drive up the gravel road across the street from the old stockyard and as you arrive a guard will come out to stop you. What are they guarding? Weapons, bombs, or plans to take over the CNMI?
Yes, John, you should get down on your knees right now and thank God for the “kaboom” that protects you everyday!
