GUAM—Coast Guard Sector Guam received a report of a missing swimmer in Agana Bay Saturday night at 8:45pm.

Coast Guard Sector Guam then requested Guam Fire and Rescue to dispatch its rescue boat to search the area.

Additionally, Sector Guam requested Navy Helicopter Combat Squadron 25 launch one of its helicopters from Anderson Air Force Base.

As a result of these efforts, a 22-year-old male was found and successfully recovered by the Navy helicopter around 10pm last night.

The U.S. Coast Guard reminds the public to take proper precautions when swimming and not to swim alone. Please report any cases of maritime distress to the Coast Guard Command Center in Guam at (671) 564-USCG. (USCG)
