Show me the money
Stimulus has no direct funding for Guam and CNMI projects and that is the truth. It’s really nice for press releases of both Delegates from Guam and the CNMI to the U.S. House of Representatives to say that Guam and the CNMI will get money from the stimulus package. But they are not telling you the truth directly that we must first apply and apply and compete and compete and beg and beg for our shares before we get any. Come on, please stop this nonsense already.
Show us the money! Stop having ambiguous press releases. We have another congressional delegation upon us in Guam. What for? So that they can lay more wreaths at federal parks? Why not lay wreaths on the tombs of those who passed away that have not gotten any benefits from the so-called War Repatriation (delayed) Act. Come on, people of Guam, stop reading published brownie points press releases.
Where is the money to help us with the much delayed Compact impact? We have so much “trash talk” on our island already; we don’t need anymore “trash talk” coming in to us. Show us the people Guam and the CNMI in black and white the direct funds and benefits, not some fancy way to go to the Internet and download instructions on how to apply for federal grants and so much red tape in downloading certain programs so that you can read more red tape information. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself and see what I mean. It’s all over the Internet.
Secretary of State Clinton is going to sign the “Guam International Agreement” in Japan. Now that would be nice if we get $1 billion now from that agreement for Guam to take care of the War Repatriation Act and help get rid of the “trash talks.” That is what you can call the real deal of stimulus funding for Guam. Ai Adai, Delegate Bordallo and Delegate Sablan, please, what stimulus? Its called the insular competitive stimulus undirected funding. I can’t wait to hear more nice praises from the codel how friendly the people of Guam are and how patriotic we are, etc., etc.
