Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman yesterday imposed a 30-day house arrest on a woman who received stolen stainless steel railings.

Wiseman sentenced Gloria Agulto Cabrera to five years in jail, all suspended, except for 30 days under house arrest, for the offense of receiving stolen property.

Wiseman ordered the 34-year-old Cabrera to start serving the house arrest by today, Wednesday.

Cabrera will be placed on five years probation and required to write a letter of apology to the victim, Kwang Ho Kim.

The judge ordered the defendant to perform 300 hours of community service and pay a $150 fine, $100 assessment fee, and probation fee.

He directed Cabrera to report to the Community Guidance Center for counseling evaluation.

Cabrera entered a guilty plea to the charge of receiving stolen property.

According to the factual basis of the plea deal, on July 18, 2008, Cabrera received the stainless steel railings belonging to Kim, knowing that it had been stolen.
