The Overseas Filipino Worker Support Group is now spearheading the fundraising for Geraldine Amor, 35, who was diagnosed with a serious medical condition and wants to return to the Philippines with her two sons.

Her aunt, Remy Amor, sought the help of the OFW Support Group to be the lead contact for all donations to buy airline tickets for the patient and her kids.

Carlito Marquez, chairman of the OFW Support Group’s welfare committee, yesterday said they have started collecting monetary donations for the patient.

“We are calling on members of the community to help the worker in her time of need,” said Marquez.

Marquez can be reached at (670) 286 6337 or (670) 322 5480.

Geraldine Amor has been in the intensive care unit of the Commonwealth Health Center since Monday afternoon. She was diagnosed with lupus, an auto-immune disease that can affect various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys and brain.

Her contract was not renewed when it expired on Dec. 10 due to her medical condition. She also has to take care of her 3-year-old and 1-year-old sons. (Haidee V. Eugenio)
