DPS sets insurance checkpoints

The Department of Public Safety Traffic Section will be conducting mandatory liability auto insurance (Public Law 11-55) checkpoints on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.

The first checkpoint will be on Beach Road Chalan Lau Lau. This operation will commence at 9am and will terminate at 10:15am.

The second checkpoint will be on Chalan Monsignor Guerrero’s Road by the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. Waterloo Station. This operation will commence at 4pm and will terminate at 5:15pm.

Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes at each location.

In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
