Now that race can be overlooked when it comes to electing a US President, more of us can say that we are proud to be American. The world has witnessed history in Obama’s victory, a victory for all who still believe in the American Dream. Obama’s victory symbolizes the American Dream. He is a minority who served only one term as a senator and will now become the most powerful person in the world. The day of his inauguration comes right after the birthday of the man who made it all possible. Martin Luther King helped pave the way for Obama and other minorities to become U.S. President. The American Dream is why many people want to live in America. America is the place of opportunity for all. Although Americans who are from U.S. territories are not yet allowed to vote for U.S. President, the non-voting delegates have made the right move and decided to introduce legislation that would allow all Americans to be able to vote for U.S. President. Hopefully it passes.
