Breakthrough in Kagman
Kagman Komunidat Association is pleased to announce that it met with CIP coordinator Vicky Villagomez, CUC Engineers, Public Health representatives, Rep. Rosemond Santos, Rep. Ed Salas, and Taotao Tano’s Greg Cruz at the public meeting.
The public meeting was to be held at the Kagman Community Center but had to be relocated to Chacha School due to the center’s power disconnection. It was acknowledged that around $1.8 million will be used for pavement of roads in Kagman 3 and 4, which is tentatively scheduled to start this year. Sidewalk construction will also begin this month in front of Laolao Bay Golf Resort.
There will be a hearing in the future to discuss the different options that can be pursued regarding the wastewater project for Kagman village. A private health clinic announced at the meeting that it will be opening in Kagman soon to serve Kagman and its neighboring villages. Puengin Inetnon (Chamorro for night of gathering) will be held every government Friday payday beginning Jan. 30 at the Kagman Community Center’s parking lot. Puengin Inetnon will be Kagman’s Friday Night Market and will feature food, drinks, crafts, merchandise, and other items for sale. Interested vendors can contact the Kagman Postal Services at 256-POST for applications.
