Kilili’s official website launched
To coincide with the opening of his office in Washington D.C., Rep. Gregorio “Kilili” Sablan has also launched his official website.
The website address is http://sablan.house.gov.
The office opened and the website launched on Jan. 6.
“The office launches a new website for residents of the Northern Mariana Islands,” the media release announcing the launching states.
“It is aimed to allow site visitors to have access to the latest information from Capitol Hill. Constituents can make requests such as receiving assistance with federal agencies, apply for an appointment to one of the U.S. military academies, and request a Presidential greeting. Residents of the Northern Mariana Islands can view the latest news by signing up for the website’s RSS feed.
The website allows visitors to learn more about the CNMI, including links to federal agencies with jurisdiction over the Commonwealth.
A section on Sablan’s legislation allows visitors to view his sponsored and co-sponsored measures, as well as provide a tutorial on the legislative process.
Sablan co-sponsored his first legislation on Jan. 6, his first day in Congress. The legislation, sponsored by Guam Rep. Madeleine Bordallo, seeks to implement the recommendations of the Guam War Claims Review Commission. There are 82 other co-sponsors. The legislation was referred back the House Committee on Natural Resources, which Sablan was recently named to.
Constituents through the website can also e-mail Sablan about legislation, set up an appointment or invite the congressman to speak.
